History

Calvary Chapel Cape May began as a Bible Study in the home of Bob and Tesi Lambert in March 1998. Bob and his family were traveling to Calvary Chapel Vineland on Sunday mornings. The fellowship began to grow and was listed in the Calvary Chapel Vineland bulletin. During the summer months the fellowship would grow in size because of the visitors coming to the shore looking for a Bible study and fellowship with other believers.
In July 1999, Bob and Tesi were sent out by Calvary Chapel Vineland to begin a fellowship here in North Cape May. A local church allowed them to meet in their building on Sunday evenings. The group continued in prayer, hoping the Lord would open up a venue for meeting on Sunday mornings. In November 1999, the group began meeting on Sunday mornings at the Kiwanis building in Cape May Court House. By the growth of the Sunday School and Nursery, it was obvious to all that a bigger location would have to be found to accommodate those wishing to worship.

In July, 2001, the fellowship moved to a shopping center on Rio Grande Blvd. where it remained for 7 years. In 2008, we again moved, to 902 Washington Blvd. in North Cape May.

In 2012, we were blessed and we once again moved into our new home, and current location, at 596 Seashore Road in Erma. See the contact page for directions.
